MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

This is my first Christmas, you know.  It's been so much fun, all these different things put up around the house.

We don't have a fireplace and we couldn't hang my stocking on the tree (I guess you will hear all about the tree....next post....er,....)

I knew it was a special sort of morning.  Mom didn't close the door to my room all the way last night.  This morning I managed to push it open and went to get her up.

(Kathy's note:  it is true.  I woke up to very loud squeaking beside my bed - Freddie doesn't meow; she squeaks - she had pushed the sliding door open enough to get through.  Such a smart kitty.)

My stocking was filled with MICE!  How NICE!

Have a Merry Christmas Day!

My First Christmas Eve

Tonight, my mom read me that great feline classic, A Cat's Christmas. It goes like this:

'Twas the night before Christmas
and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring,
not even a mouse.

'Cuz the cat had pounced on him
and tore him apart-
Ate his mousey intestines
and chewed up his heart.

Kitty thought she heard sleighbells,
which made her take pause -
She stopped daintily licking
the blood from her claws.

"Must be Santa," thought Kitty
(that quite clever cat).
'Cuz nobody else climbs down
The chimney like that.

Indeed it was ol' Santa,
so jolly and fat
With a huge load of presents
and all for the cat!

"Wow, the best Christmas ever!"
Kitty thought with a purr-
Then she coughed up a hairball
and shed some more fur.

Awww, isn't that just the sweetest little story. Life is pretty good, isn't it?

Friday With Freddie

Well, long time since we've had a Friday With Me post - or any post for that matter.  Been busy.

Between us, I've been having a heck of a good time, but don't tell Mom that 'cause she's a little bit ticked off with me because of things like this.

More of the story tomorrow....

International Traveller

Freddie, International Traveller, here.

Once again, I was 'the best kitty ever' (well, almost) all the way down to Bismarck, North Dakota.  I slept most of the way, waking up to have a look around, pee break, a few bites of food and laps of water.

Here I am in the motel room looking over all the things we could do while down there.

We went from home in Canada, about where my nose is, to about where my back feet are.  Hey, I'm as big as North Dakota!  meowmeowmeow

Mom says were going back again pretty soon.  She likes shopping there.  I didn't mind staying in the car, as long as she parked where the sun could shine in on me.

Life is good.
