Fridays With Freddie #4

Oh, Hi.

I've been hard at work around here, helping with the laundry, you know.

It was one month yesterday that I came to live here.  I've settled in.

Contemplating

Oh, sometimes after the sunbeam has moved on, I just sit and think about life.....and about how my squeaky mouse is attached to my kennel.

Maybe these two things are the same.

It's Caturday!!

I wasn't feeling very well yesterday afternoon and evening.  Had my mom pretty worried because she had sprayed some CedarCide stuff around, and put some on me too, 'cause she figures I have a flea or two.  It's supposed to be safe for little kittens.  Well, the stuff made me feel all snuffly, sleepy and quiet, not at all like my usual self....

Today I'm back in form.  Yep.  Haven't stopped running since breakfast.  And I found a new activity.  This is fun.  I found out I can take the little candles out of the little dishes....

They have these little pick-up things...

I take one over to the playing field.

And Game On!

Such great thing to play with.  It's like a hockey puck with a little handle I can pick up and carry off somewhere else, if I want to.

I can take them anywhere in the house.  This is SO great

And then I can leave it sitting on the floor where mom can either step on it or kick it under some furniture.  That's called an Added Extra.

Editor' Note:  Gad, this floor needs refinishing.  I have a lot of renovations to do.  No sense in doing the floors until all the other work is done...someday.

Fridays With Freddie #3

So many things going on these days.  We finally remembered to do something on this blog for Fridays With ME.

My mom was muttering about it really being hard to get a good picture of me because I don't stand still for longer than 2 seconds.  Here I am hiding behind the garbage thing in the kitchen - mostly just to catch my breath, I admit.  So I let her snap a couple.

Then, on a rip through the house, I noticed a sunbeam shining right on my bed.  I just had to climb in a have a little snooze.  That's my friend Rover standing guard.

If this video actually uploads, well, you can watch me have some fun in the kitchen this morning.

Uncle Gene

I have an Uncle Gene, too.  He's pretty tall so there's a lot of him to run up and down.

He taught me all about the TV remote control.  He said "there's only two channels you need to worry about, Freddie.  Channels 15 and 33 are the sports channels - the only things worth watching".

Here I am trying it on my own.  So much to learn.

Ailyn's First Day of School

Oh boy,  I have a 5 year old cousin named Ailyn.  She lives in Vancouver.

She started school last week.

I bet her kitties, Takhisis (I know I didn't spell that right) and little Mina, really miss her when she's away from home!

Ailyn says she really likes her teacher and teacher's assistant; the other kids are fun, recesses are great, and wow, they got to play in a sandbox right in their classroom.  Is that like playing in the litter box?  I get heck for doing that!

Busy Week

Turns out I have an Auntie Carol.   I didn't know this until last Tuesday.

She got roped into colouring my castle.  I AM a tiny, little princess, you know.

Did she think I wasn't going to help?

I'm pretty good with mouth colouring.

Couldn't we have purple trees?

Oh boy, there's a lot left to do..

Finally....after colouring and playing all afternoon and next morning, my castle was really looking good.

I love playing in it.

Fridays With Freddie #2

Wow, just about missed this today.

So many Firsts for me this week. Prolly the biggest thing for me was trying out for the cheer squad!

Yes! I'm a Saskatchewan Roughrider fan (who knew, guess I was born this way).

Got the yell Go Ridersssss! and the song going. "Green is the colour, football is the game..."

And, a big High Five to the Riders for winning big (my mom says Finally!)

Big news, I'm getting my very own blog. Stay tuned.

Fridays With Freddie #1

Really? You think a barrier of toilet paper packages is going to keep me out of the bathroom? Really?

I got shoved in the big pocket of my new mom's bathrobe - she seemed to need both hands to fix my breakfast.

I'm getting used to these bizarre house-pants my mom insists on wearing some days. Makes my eyes go a little crazy...

or maybe it's just me, the crazy part, I mean!

I helped with the housework. The mop is a lot of fun to ride.

We play alot.

See you next week, or maybe tomorrow on.....Caturday!

Original 'Meet Freddie'

We're (okay, I need some help here) moving the blog posts about ME from mom's Still Life With Birder blog to this one - well, copying.  She just can't remove my cuteness from her boring Nature & Birding blog....

So, meet ME.  This is what my new mom wrote the day after she rescued me:

My life shifted a bit yesterday afternoon...a shift in the form of a tiny black & white kitten....

maybe three weeks old at best....

Cousin Larry came over to my place saying there was a little kitten in his back yard.

Its mother is a feral cat who has been living under Larry's deck.

His dogs would kill this little thing once they spotted it.

So, I picked it up and brought it home.

Meet Freddie!

I have a feeling there will be regular kitten updates in the future - possibly Fridays With Freddie.

First Post

You know I've been watching my mom fool around with what she calls 'her blog' every day since I moved in - that would be 17 days ago.

One day she left her laptop on.  It didn't take long before I had it all  figured out.

Blog set-up was easy.  Come visit often to see how I'm doing and please say "hello" in the comment section.

Your correspondent, Freddie
