Cousin Henry

This is my cousin Henry.  He's about my age in human years.

He lives in Toronto.  I would like to meet him as people tell me Henry runs around all day just like I do!  It would be fun to play with him - I wouldn't even bite him.

It's Caturday...Again

Hi!  Well, this week mom & I went off RVing again.  Three days & two nights.  It was fun.  A little too much time in my carrier perhaps...

Our RV is a big Sprinter van.

This is the front - my stuff, and I kept dragging out mom's boots.  Great laces on those things.

And this is the back - my stuff.

I like to sneak up on nefarious critters like this pink thing.

Turned out to be my very favourite toy all one evening and the next morning; well, when mom & I weren't playing fetch my other toy.  She'd throw it on the dash and I'd jump up to get it and bring it back.  27 times in one go, according to mom.  She was trying to blog.  Ha.

From inside my kennel - what the heck, thought I'd try...

What a work-out!

I didn't mind sleeping all the way home after all that exercise.

I'm an RVing Kitty!

Do you have the television commercial about 'Go RVing!" where you live?  My mom packed us up; I got stashed in my carrier - and off we went....RVing!

I was a little scared at first, but I trust my mom.  She kept telling me I was a good little cat and pretty soon I was all relaxed, played with my toys a bit and then, er, I had a nap.

We stopped every hour or so.  I ran around, stretched my legs, visited the litter box, drank some water and ate a bit.

Here I am sitting on the dash, playing with my leash...this is a toy, right?

Then some big birds flew by - I'm becoming a birder, as well.

Yep, I enjoyed our little trip.  We stayed overnight at a campground in Regina.  Next day we drove around the city doing some shopping and errands - that is, I had to stay in my carrier by myself in the van too much but it was worth it cuz one place she bought me this:

Sneak, sneak, sneak.  I can play in this tunnel for hours!

Happy Caturday!!!

Guest Cat: Cleo

My second Guest Cat is Cleo.  She lives in the same house as Big Ben

Isn't she pretty.  She didn't have a very good life before Donna & Dwight grabbed her off the unkind streets of Stettler

Donna says:
Cleo is almost ten years old. We literally grabbed her off main street on a rainy Sunday in June, 2004, when we saw her weaving in and out of traffic and meowing desperately. She was very skinny with bald patches, and had already delivered a litter of kittens at some point. She also had a very tender ribcage -- the vet suspected someone had kicked her very hard. But she was ready to be loved, and willing to take a chance with us.

After we brought her home and gave her something to eat, she ran into the living room and jumped into Dwight's lap and gave him a "kiss" on the cheek. She did the same thing to Samantha. Then it was off to our bedroom where she curled up on the foot of the bed and slept -- the same place she has been sleeping ever since.

Cleo doesn't like other cats and she can be downright grumpy at times, but we love our "cat of many colours".
I guess so!!  And we love her too.

I'm Invisible

It's Caturdayayayayayyy.

I know you can't see me, but I'm here all right!  Ready to jump out and attack some feet, 'specially if it is feet attached to somebody sitting on the toilet!

I love this game.

A Heated Basket!

I love to sit in baskets.  This one has been on the kitchen table for a couple days now.  I sit in it when my mom fools around with her laptop...I'd really rather be sitting on that, though.  It's warm.

Well, didn't my mom get all crafty today.  She put something called a heating pad wrapped in a towel into this basket.

So toasty and ...oops, sorry, nodded off there.

Where was I?  So comfy and warm and I can (yawn) still keep an eye (yawn) on everything going on here...

Oh the heck with it.   Must.  Nap.

Happy Thanksgiving

This is my first Thanksgiving!  I was informed I would not be included in the family gathering down the street at my Aunt Doris'.  That's okay; there are dogs there - dogs that would scare me.

I'm big enough to jump up on things now.  And, I have a new favourite spot - it's up on the buffet in the kitchen. My mom's grandfather made this a long time ago.

There's a dish of Hallowe'en candy.  Mom's already eaten one bag!

I'm helping her stop by picking up the little candy bars and flinging them on the floor.  If nothing else, she gets some exercise!

Waiting for the phone to ring...Ailyn will be calling sometime today.  Just talked to Henry's mom.  She wanted Grandma's pumpkin pie recipe (the best ever, according to my mom).

Besides, the answering machine is warm.  Mom's using the laptop at the moment - that's where I really like to sleep.  Not only is it warm, it makes all sorts of little beeps and rings when I stand on the keys.

I have so much fun!

Caturday!

Your correspondent Freddie here.

We forgot all about Fridays with Freddie yesterday.  I was pretty busy shredding paper and some really neat styrofoam packing things....see how big I'm getting!  And yes, she's making me wear this stupid halter.  I just hate it.  She slips it on me when I'm busy eating.

I get back at her though.  Last night she looked everywhere for me.  I didn't come running when she called, like I usually do.  She only found me when she looked for the tv remote.  There I was, tucked into her desk.  It was so funny!

Guest Cat: Big Ben

Oh, isn't he handsome!

Big Ben comes running into the room when he hears the theme song from 2 & 1/2 Men (men, men, men, men...)- he's totally sure they are singing about him!

Ben belongs to my mom's great friend Donna - they all live in Stettler, AB.  Actually, Ben just came to live at Donna's house a little while ago.  He's a shelter cat.  Good for Donna & Dwight for taking him into their family.  They have two other kitties:  Cleo and Livy.  We'll post about them too pretty soon.

Cat Fort!

It's Caturday!!!

As usual I was a big help with making mom's bed this morning.  She's got all these pillows...

Cat Fort!

Laser Eyes - yes I do come from another planet, so beware.

But, I's still cute, right?
