And, no, the vet did not say I was fat! I just have fatty deposits in my tummy, some clustering around my incision scar...a lot of girl cats are like this, right? Besides, I haven't been up to my usual 200% active self this past week. Cripes! Today is the first day in a long time my mom has played fetch with me on the basement stairs. I ran down and up 17 times - and brought my toy mouse back to her feet every time!
This is Abby. She is very much loved by our friends Brett & Kirby. She is the oldest of their four feline kids. They all live in Saskatoon, SK.
Brett writes:
Abby came to us seven years ago on Valentine's Day. She was rescued one Christmas Eve on an acreage luckily owned by a veterinary assistant who nursed her to health. We think she was around 4 years old at the time, which puts her at about 11 years old now. While Abby was'lost', she developed a bad case of ear mites that bored a hole between her ear canal and sinus. she is a very, very snotty girl thus. But we love her and she is very, very loving in return.
Abby reminds us that Valentine's Day is about loving all that is good in the world.
Abby is the best Valentine's Day present we have ever had!!! I just love her face.
I have a new favourite thing to do - when I'm allowed to be up on the kitchen counter. Usually I get put down on the floor again pronto. But sometimes around dishwashing time, I help a little.
