Circle of Safety

Many games and chases with my mom these days.  Usually, I run under a bed or couch or chair so she can't catch me and tickle me.  Then one day, there was this magic circle on the floor.  I knew if I jumped into it and curled up tight, nobody could touch me.  It worked!!!

When I jump into it, Mom just stops, laughs and calls me a Funny Kitty.  Magic!

I had to stay home alone again this week.  My mother came home all ravers about how cute Emma The Dog is.  Pfffffttttt.

Sweet Freddie is Back

Hallowe'en was fun....well, I guess it wasn't particularly, because I was shut downstairs for part of the time and then upstairs in a bedroom.  The doorbell ringing scares me.

After all those scary little people stopped ringing the doorbell, my mom played with me for a long time.  I raced around the house a lot.  That was fun.

Our favourite 'cat' blogger, Vic at Cat In The Bag, has died - another victim of cancer.  

We are very sad for his cats Zoey & Maggy and all the human members of his family.  

We shall miss you all every single day even though we did not know you personally.  The humour and cat photos as posted on Cat In The Bag were the start to our mornings.

A Kind Man

Ahem, nobody has taken any pictures of me lately.  Here I am, two weeks ago, keeping watch over my yard.

There are some little greeny-brown birds in the yard today (my mother says they are Ovenbirds) that strut around with their tails bobbing up and down.  Funny little things.  One parades around in and out of the plants at the edge of the lawn - just out of my reach!  This stupid leash won't stretch....

Ha!  I got my head in there just as Mum snapped a picture!

She decided to tantalize some of the family, put up a pic on Facebook of all the little onions she was about to peel - for onion pickles, which I guess everyone in this family LOVES.  Me, no, I don't care for them.

I like this basket, tho'.  I like getting into it and being carried around.  This morning it had these onions in it for a few hours.  Smelly things, really.

One Year Ago....

This was me a year ago when my new mum brought me home from Larry's yard (I had got separated from my feral family....and that was a good thing for me).



Know what?  We still do this almost every morning.  She tickles my tummy, and I kick and bite (not too hard).

It's Caturday!!!

There are these crispy things falling from the big tree and they blow around and I chase them, and some butterflies..and some chickadees at the feeder..and..and..then I roll around in the dirt for awhile before coming back into the house.
